The stores and houses especially those that are scattered around locations, which are also ripe for looting and home to some characters players will meet on their travels, are implacably designed. ![]() Straight off the bat, you can see where the developers have put much of their work over the years into this game due to its incredibly rich and detailed graphics. It’s also not technically open-world either and focuses on the linear side with loading screens between locations but that doesn’t mean there aren’t vast areas to explore, although some more than others, as seen in Venice Beach which is a HUGE playground packed full of infected and stores to raid, although some sadly remain locked up tight. Instead, set ten years after the original, there is a range of locations at your feet in La La Land from Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica Pier to the Hollywood Sign and Venice Beach. Although named Dead Island 2, players won’t find themselves surrounded by zombies on an island this time. ![]()
